Environmental Stewardship & Climate Action
My mother, a retired civil engineer, taught me that good engineering is about the people who live with the results. When we get the environment right, everything becomes possible: housing that doesn't overwhelm our water systems, economic growth that doesn't pollute our air, sustainable agriculture that feeds our community, and neighborhoods where your children can thrive. Environmental protection and economic growth aren't competing priorities—they're partners. As an environmental engineer with nearly a decade managing remediation projects across Colorado and globally, I've learned that the best solutions come from bringing people together: clean energy that creates good-paying jobs, water conservation that supports both farmers and families, and smart development that protects neighborhoods while building community.
Adams County faces real environmental challenges, from industrial contamination to climate change impacts that threaten our agricultural heritage, strain our water resources, and affect every family's quality of life. As a board member for WRISE (Women in Renewable Industry in Sustainable Energy), I've led panels on renewable energy implementation and understand how clean energy strengthens our economy while protecting the environment your family depends on. When we listen to all stakeholders—developers, farmers, environmental advocates, and residents—and use good data to guide decisions, we find solutions where environment and economy thrive together. That's the collaborative, common-sense leadership I'll bring to Adams County.
As Your Commissioner, I will:
1
Fight Climate Change & Create Clean Energy Jobs
-
Partner with local businesses and organizations to expand clean energy job opportunities in Adams County
-
Prioritize renewable energy development and energy efficiency programs that save working families money
2
Protect Our Natural Resources
-
Protect water resources for families, farmers, and ranchers
-
Preserve and conserve open spaces and agricultural lands that provide food security and protect our heritage
-
Hold polluters accountable with enforceable remediation standards
3
Plan Smart to Prevent Problems
-
Analyze infrastructure capacity and environmental impacts before approving development, not after problems emerge
-
Review technical documents, like methane management plans for developments on former landfills, and protect creek stability in flood-prone areas
